Uprising Anniversary 2011: Letter to Chinese Ambassador PDF Print E-mail
On 12 March 2011, a coalition of UK-based based Tibet support groups, including Tibet Society, sent an open letter to Liu Xiaoming, the Chinese Ambassador to the UK. The coalition attempted to hand-deliver the letter to the Embassy during the Tibetan Freedom, however officials refused to answer the door. The letter, to mark the 52nd anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising, has since been posted.

On 12 March 2011, a coalition of UK-based based Tibet support groups, including Tibet Society, sent an open letter to Prime Minister David Cameron. The letter was hand-delivered to Downing Street by representatives of the coalition during the Tibetan Freedom March, which marked the 52nd anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising.

Lhamo Tso is the wife of Tibetan film-maker and political prisoner Dhondup Wangchen, who is currently serving a 6 year prison sentence for his part in making a documentary film about Tibetans in Tibet.
