Artist Hamish Fulton is displaying some of his work, including Tibet-related pieces, in his first one-man show for 10 years at the Turner Contemporary in Margate.

Wednesday 22 February: Losar - Tibetan New Year
Tibetan New Year falls on 22 February in 2012. In the Tibetan calendar it will be the year 2139 and the upcoming year will be the Year of the Water Dragon. The Tibetan Government in exile has called on Tibetans not to celebrate Losar this year, due to the ongoing tragic events in Tibet. Instead, Losar will be marked by Tibetan communities with prayers and religious ceremonies.
There will be a vigil held outside the Chinese Embassy in London, 3pm-7pm

Sunday 26 February: Films and panel discussion, Lincolnshire
"Tibet Alert - Plateau and nomads under threat". At the event two films, both by Michael Buckley, will be screened: Meltdown in Tibet, which looks at the problems of large-scale damming in Tibet, and Nomad to Nobody which tells of the destruction of the nomadic way of life in Tibet. Followed by a panel discussion including Pema Yoko, co-ordinator of Students for Free Tibet UK, Alison Reynolds, Director of International Tibet Network and Tash Despa, maker of the Channel 4 film Return to Tibet.

Monday 5 - Sunday 11 March: Art & photo exhibition, York
Tibet Support Group York are hosting an exhibition of photos and artwork based on Tibet. Five artists wil be displaying their work, along with the "A-Z of Tibet" exhibition from Tibet Society. Tibetan goods will also be on sale.

Tuesday 6 March: Tibetan flag raising, Northampton
The Tibetan national flag will be raised at the Guildhall in Northampton in a ceremony to be attended by the Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Jamie Lane and Mrs Victoria McKee. The event, "Dream the Impossible Dream", will include prayers for those Tibetans who have made the ultimate sacrifice in search of freedom for Tibet. All welcome.

Wednesday 7 March: Tibet Lobby; UK-wide
The annual lobby of Parliament by Tibetans and Tibet supporters. By lobbying and meeting your MP, you not only inform your MP of the current situation in Tibet but you encourage greater parliamentary support for Tibetan freedom and justice.
For those unable to make it to London you can lobby in your local constituency.

Wednesday 7 March: Wreath-laying ceremony at Westminster Abbey
The annual wreath-laying ceremony organised by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Tibet and Tibet Society, to mark the anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising and remember the victims of China’s occupation of Tibet. The wreath-laying will be accompanied by a short multi-faith service (approx 15-20 minutes). All welcome.

Saturday 10 March: Tibet Freedom March & Rally in London
The 53rd anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising will be marked with a march through central London culminating in a rally outside the Chinese Embassy with guest speakers.

Saturday 10 March: Uprising Day Peace Walk, Edinburgh
Edinburgh University Tibet Sociey are organising a march through central Edinburgh to mark the 53rd anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising. The march will culminate at the Chinese consulate at Murrayfield, where flowers will be laid at the Consulate's door, alongside pictures of Tibetans that have been killed or self-immolated due to the oppression of China's occupation.
Time: Gather at 12.30pm at The Mound next to National Gallery of Scotland
