Wednesday 8 February - Global solidarity vigil for Tibet
Following a call from the Kalon Tripa (the exiled Tibetan Prime Minister), vigils are being world-wide in solidarity with Tibetans in Tibet who continue to suffer under the oppressive Chinese regime. In London the vigil will be held outside the Chinese Embassy. (Watch the Kalon Tripa statement.) Please join us between 4pm and 7.30pm, or for however long you can spare. Tibetan monks will be present to recite prayers during the vigil.

Wednesday 22 February: Losar - Tibetan New Year
Tibetan New Year falls on 22 February in 2012. In the Tibetan calendar it will be the year 2139 and the upcoming year will be the Year of the Water Dragon. The Tibetan Government in exile has called on Tibetans not to celebrate Losar this year, due to the ongoing tragic events in Tibet. Instead, Losar will be marked by Tibetan communities with prayers and religious ceremonies.
Sunday 26 February: Films and panel discussion, Lincolnshire
"Tibet Alert - Plateau and nomads under threat". At the event two films, both by Michael Buckley, will be screened: Meltdown in Tibet, which looks at the problems of large-scale damming in Tibet, and Nomad to Nobody which tells of the destruction of the nomadic way of life in Tibet. Followed by a panel discussion including Pema Yoko, co-ordinator of Students for Free Tibet UK, Alison Reynolds, Director of International Tibet Network and Tash Despa, maker of the Channel 4 film Return to Tibet.

Wednesday 7 March: Tibet Mass Lobby; UK-wide
The annual mass lobby of Parliament by Tibetans and Tibet supporters. By lobbying and meeting your MP, you not only inform your MP of the current situation in Tibet but you encourage greater parliamentary support for Tibetan freedom and justice. For those unable to make it to London you can lobby in your local constituency.

Saturday 10 March: Uprising Day - March & rally in London
The 63rd anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising will be marked with a march through central London culminating in a rally with guest speakers.

The Mass Lobby and Uprising March are organised by a coalition of UK-based Tibet groups including Tibet Society, Tibetan Community in Britain, Free Tibet, Students for a Free Tibet UK and Tibetan Youth UK.
