Saturday 13 February: Tibetan Community in Britain Losar Eve party
This is the year of the Iron Tiger 2137 and it falls on Valentine's Day, 14 February. The Tibetan Community in Britain is holding an event a day before on Saturday 13th, from 4pm, Tibetan New Year's Eve!
All are welcome to come and join in, meet friends, have some fun, enjoy each other's company and preserve the unique traditions of Tibetan culture! There will be delicious food including bhoecha (butter tea), kapsey and dresi (sweet rice with dried fruits) and all sorts of entertainment ranging from musical chairs for the active kids to table top 'open plus' with amazing prizes. And you can also help raise some funds for the Community's vital projects at the same time!
Please take note of the advance booking ... as we normally get a high turnout, we'd really appreciate being able to get a good idea of the numbers so please book early.

Sunday 14 February: Tashi Ling Losar party
Welcome in the year of the Iron Tiger 2137 and have a fun Valentine's Day! Tashi Ling Losar is a community Losar celebrated by Tibetans living in the Greenwich borough and is open to all Tibetans and supporters. The local Tibetan community are all putting efforts to support the celebration, from cooking, to decoration, entertainment, perfomances, games and so on, so we hope you can come and enjoy it with us!! The entrance fee includes includes Tibetan changul, with khapse and desi (a traditional tibetan losar serving/offering), plus a wonderful dinner.

Wednesday 17 February: Across Tibet on horseback
Bath & District Tibet Supoport Group presents "Across Tibet on horseback"
Inspired by tales of a Shangri-La in the Great Himalayan mountains, Roland Alford arrived in Tibet, bought two horses and proceeded to ride to Lhasa. Here, Roland tells the story of his adventures, with images and recordings.
This event launches the programme of the Bath & District Tibet Support Group, so do come along and support, meet otherTibet supporters and enjoy hearing Roland Alford tell of his time in Tibet. There will be tea, coffee and nibbles!

Tuesday 2 March: Raising Tibetan Flag in Northampton
The Tibetan flag will once again fly over the Guildhall in Northampton. The flag will be raised by the Worshipful Mayor and Mayoress Michael and Margerate Hill at 12.00 noon. Before this there will be a dedication in the Great Hall. Come along and join in, all welcome!

Wednesday 10 March: 51st Commemoration of Tibetan Uprising
Make your voice heard ... come and join a protest and mass lobby on the 51st commemoration of the Tibetan Uprising in Lhasa. Even if you cannot make it to London, register for a Lobby Pack and write to your MP. You can also raise a flag in solidarity with Tibet on 10 March at home, at work, at school, in your car or anywhere else it will be seen flying with pride!
