Tibet Uprising Anniversary 2015: UK Events PDF Print E-mail
Show your support for freedom and justice for Tibet and express solidarity with Tibetans inside Tibet by participating in the Tibet Freedom March and Rally on 7 March 2015 in London or at one of the events listed below.

Tibet flagOn 10 March 1959, Tibetans in Lhasa rose up against China's military occupation. The Chinese army quashed the uprising and subsequent nation-wide rebellion, killing at least 87,000 Tibetans. Following the failed uprising, the Dalai Lama fled into exile and to this day the Tibetan people have had to endure China's brutal regime.

The Tibetan National Uprising is commemorated annually by exiled Tibetans and Tibet supporters, with events remembering its victims and those of the ongoing occupation, as well as calling for an end to China's oppressive policies in Tibet and for action from the international community.
