An Interview with Tibet Society’s Vice President & Former Chairman: Mr John Billington

John Billington has been a long-time advocate and political campaigner for a Free Tibet. John was one of the first westerners to meet Tibetan refugees in Darjeeling in the early 1960s. He served as Chairman of the Tibet Society and Relief Fund of the UK from 1993 to 1997. John is currently a vice president of the Tibet Society, an honorary title he holds.
The interview was conducted by Dechen Pemba, an inspiring Tibetan woman, who is the editor of High Peaks and Pure Earth (www.highpeakspureearth.com), for the LondonNey Production, a small Tibetan production team based in London.
