Tibetans given death sentences - Urgent Action

8 April 2008: It has been reported that two Tibetans have been sentenced to death; two have been sentenced to death with a two-year suspension and one other has been sentenced to life imprisonment.  The exact nature of the charges against the individuals has not been stated but it is reported that they were tried in three different cases of arson dating back to the protests in Lhasa on 14 March 2008.

Tibet Society strongly condemns these sentences. We ask supporters to take action by directly pressing the Chinese government. More information
